16th September can be termed as Democracy Day. Exactly 34 years ago on September 16, 1984,
N. T. Rama Rao, who was deposed undemocratically, returned and took oath as the Chief Minister
of Andhra Pradesh. The then Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi undemocratically sacked NTR
and made Nadella Bhaskara Rao the Chief Minister. All the opposition parties across the
country stood in support of NTR and people came on the roads With the large-scale protest,
Mrs Indira Gandhi finally came down and returned NTR on 16th September 1984.
Had to make the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. That's why today is called Democracy Day.
